If it is not the first time that you visit Florence or you have a specific interest in the greatest Renaissance artist this is definitely your tour.
Half-day tour that inludes the David, Medici Chapel & Michelangelo's tomb in Santa Croce
We scheduled a 3 hour afternoon tour on our first day in Florence. Martina did a fabulous job of giving us the history of the area and taking us to some important sites. She was great about allowing us to stop for water, coffee and restrooms too. Her insight into Michelangelo' s work was so interesting and made the art so much more meaningful! She helped us decided was else to see during our visit. I would highly recommend this tour as an intro as to what is important to see during your stay! - Jessica T., St. Louis Missouri
It aims to show you at least three places linked to Michelangelo, such as the Academy Gallery to see the worldwide famous David and the intriguing Prisoners, the Medici’s Chapels where he projected and started the New Sacristy, leaving another great example of his geniality, and the Santa Croce neighbourhood where he lived when he was young and where he bought a house but never lived in there.
The tour will end with the visit of his tomb inside the Santa Croce church, where he was buried after his death in Rome.
